Spotlight on Jenny Saldaña

When Jenny Saldaña is not writing a play,
directing, or acting, she’s lighting up the room-
as a inspirational speaker.

She’s an actress turned playwright turned
motivational speaker.  But most importantly
she’s a Breast Cancer Survivor!
BC Jenny she calls herself.  Also the name of
her play: Pink: the Chronicles of BC Jenny.

She’s feisty; she’s funny; she’s a ball of fire;
and she’s fearless.  Unafraid and unabashed,
she openly discusses her brush with shhhhh
“the C word”.

When I first met her she explained,
“You know that the day after
you’re diagnosed with breast cancer,
you are considered a survivor?  …. Yeah.
Think about it.  You survived one more day.”

I looked at her perplexed.  She continues,
“This is not according to me. This is the guideline
for the American Cancer Society.”

Well, according to our guidelines,
Jenny Saldaña is a - Diva Latina!
A Precious Gift from Guatemala

Martha Beth Wells gave up her child for adoption-
just to find out she can never conceive again!
Enduring  pain and despair she found healing
through the same process that caused her grief.
Through the world of adoption, Mary Beth Wells,
has 2 beautiful daughters from Guatemala
whom are the loves of her life!

"Too often, people ask questions
about my dark haired, dark eyed girls,
"Where did they come from?"
"They are so fortunate  to have been adopted"."

"I always down play questions like this
because people generally mean well,
but they just don't understand it.
I am the one that is fortunate!"

When I 1st saw this doll, I literally cried.
It was so lifelike, so real, so soft ....
so South American!

Girls Can't WHAT?

Gretchen Ozee Cawthon is not your traditional girl.
"You won’t find me in a dress picking flowers and
talking about cute shoes. I am most likely out doing
something that someone said couldn’t be done."

"During high school I was in a car accident and the
doctors said I would never walk again.
I proved them wrong ... I know what it’s like
to be told I can’t do something because I’m a girl."

Gretchen started the website
GirlsCantWhat.com
in 2005 to share  personal experiences
along with amazing stories and interviews
from some truly inspirational women.

For Christmas this year, buy a t-shirt, bookbag, or
calendar with one of the Girls Can't WHAT? designs.
